Greetings!

If any of the info on this website was useful for your projects or made your head spin with creative ideas, and you would like to share a token of your appreciation- a donation would be massively appreciated!

Your donation will go to my Robotics Fund, straight towards more sensors, actuators, books, and journeys. It takes a lot to continue building these robots, and I’m really thankful of everyone who helps encourage me along the way.

You are using the Lego Twitteriffic Bird made by Fredo Houben (fredoichi.com) as the icon for Stwutter.

You did not even copy it, you used the photo, mirrored it and gave it some highlights.

What on earth made you think ripping off someone else’s work was cool? You do realise that your app will be pulled from the Mac App Store because of this.

This is an email that I sent to the maker of the Lego Twitteriffic bird:

    Hi there,

This is the developer of Stwutter, the App that you just complained about to everyone on Twitter.

I just tried messaging you many times, but I guess you aren’t available.

When I was looking for an icon I started out searching google for “twitter robot”. I was originially looking for inspiration, but then I saw this:

    http://www.iconspedia.com/icon/twitter-robot-bird-16428.html

I was like, “WOW! It looks like Ollie, but it’s a ROBOT! So cool!” I checked out the license and saw that it said free. There’s also an additional readme about it, but it also said free for personal and commercial use.

Even though it’s not high-res, I decided to go with it. I contacted my friend beforehand asking if she wanted to make an icon, but she was really swamped the past few weeks, so there’s probably going to be a new icon ready for the next big release.

I did not know that this was ripped off from you. I’m so sorry.

    Hope that helps.

    Best,
    EK

App crashes on Mountain Lion after using the preferences dialog. Once it crashes, the app is unusable for future launches.
