This is great news, but how is Quebec affording everything?? They are making a huge, extravoguent park with waterfountains and glorious gardens in the middle of new huge boulevards. Also, they are going to be spending gazillions on roads and overpasses. And, what happened to the new two hospitals they are going to build? Something doesn’t sound right…
This is definitely an amazingly useful site — it provides you with robot events happening in your area! It’s mainly just the FIRST competitions though, which sucks since I can’t find a team!
The new toddler-like robot from Hitachi rolled around and waved in a demonstration Wednesday…
Sounds very professional!
before crashing into a desk
Ouch, LOL! Maybe not so professional ?!
highlighting the hurdles robots must overcome to become real-life partners.
Very true, and a good point. However, this isn’t a Lego robot we are talking about, it’s by Hitachi, why did it crash into a desk? Shouldn’t it have multiple IR sensors to tell if it goes in close proximity of objects? >.< But, the robot
is designed to work as a guide and run errands in offices
!
So how is it supposed to manage?! Nevermind that, it was even being controlled via wireless remote control on a laptop…
There is not much else to say, other than, it looks pretty.
The story of my Styrobots begins with my acceptance into the Stanford EPGY Summer Institutes Artificial Intelligence program for 2008. In order to go there, I needed money! So, I came up with Styrobots.
All of the money from Styrobots goes towards my Robotic Fund. This enables me to buy parts for the robots that I enjoy creating!
I appreciate all help! :D
By donating you are able to help me discover new possibilities with robotics, and further my knowledge! You never know when this knowledge will eventually help you. ;D
